Muddy Boots



The "Muddy Boots" group invites you to join them on an easy flat walk enjoying the woodland, grasslands, ponds and open heath of Whitmoor Common.

Whitmoor is a local Nature Reserve. It is recognised as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and a Special Protection Area (SPA) to protect rare, vulnerable and migratory birds.  It is the largest area of open heathland in the Guildford area and has been awarded the highest standard for heathland management by Natural England.


Time: 10.00 to 11.30 a.m.

Meet: At the QE Park Baptist Church & Centre, Railton Road, Queen Elizabeth Park, Stoughton. GU2 9LX

Travel note: Bus 2 from Guildford Friary Bus station, Bay 8, alight in Grange Road at Railton Road, then walk along Railton Road to QE Park Centre. By car,from Grange Road turn into Railton Road to park adjacent to Centre.

Length of walk: 3 miles

General Notes: There is a main road to cross before reaching Whitmoor Common.  Some area are a bit boggy but that adds to the fun.

Light refreshments will be available afterwards at the QE Park Centre after the walk.
