Sutton Green and the Wey

This delightful walk will explore part of the Wey Navigational Canal, originally constructed between 1651 and 1653, between Triggs Lock and Cartbridge. We will walk through fields and alongside the river and take a short deviation to look at the lakes owned by Woking District Angling Association.

The walk has wonderful views of both the canal and surrounding meadows at the back of Send. The area is rich in wildlife, and it is well worth bringing binoculars if you have them. During the course of the walk your leader will tell you something of the history of the Canal and the surrounding area
