About the event
Description of walk: A circular walk taking in some of the famous Lovelace bridges and stunning Horsley Towers. It passes Horsley Railway Station that was a reception point for evacuees of the Second World War and a target for German bombing raids. It also passes West Horsley Place that hosted evacuated children from Fulham in 1939. In November 1940, bombs fell behind West Horsley Place.
