Come and explore beautiful Shere with Guildford Health Walks

Any travel advice: Take bus 25 or 32 from Cranleigh, or the Guildford town centre

 

Description of walk: From the Shere Village Hall, walk along Gomshall Lane and cross The Tillingbourne into St James church graveyard. A slight uphill takes you along to The Millenium Way above Shere. Walk along to Gravel Pits Lane in Gomshall, turn uphill and cross the rail bridge, where there are good views towards Netley House and Shere Manor. Walk along the south side of the rail and recross on a rail bridge towards Shere, where there are beautiful views of the North Downs looking East, then further along get a more than 180 degrees view towards Albury, of Shere Manor and the North Downs. The walk concludes at The Bray pub

Any specific walk conditions / issues: This is a relatively easy walk with no stiles. There might be a slight uphill.

Dogs allowed / not allowed?: Dogs on short leads welcome
