
Guildford & the River Wey with Guildford Rambling Club
An all-day walk (option of first 6.5 miles only, leaving at Dapdune Wharf) through undulating countryside with open views and the best Guildford has to offer.

Description of walk: In the morning go through University of Surrey’s campus seeing notable trees, lake and sculptures then to the hidden arboretum of Onslow where we have a short stop for toilet and drinks. We cross the A31 over The Mount to reach the outskirts of Loseley Estate to reach the North Downs Way and on the Wey South Path towards Guildford until we reach our lunchtime location by the 7 Arches bridge opposite the National Trust property Dapdune Wharf (if an NT member possibility to lunch there). In the afternoon we follow the River Wey towards Stoke Lock, through Riverside Park (a local Nature Reserve) then come back via the Spectrum and make our way back to car park.
Any specific walk / conditions issues: A reasonable level of fitness is required for those undertaking the complete route. Good walking shoes are recommended.

Length of Walk: 10.5 miles but option to drop out at lunchtime after 6.5 miles at Dapdune Wharf.
