This walk along the banks of the River Wey in town traces the history of pleasure boating from the mid-nineteenth century to the present.

Description of walk: Although development in the twentieth century has greatly affected this part of the town, the river itself remains largely unchanged. We will look at historic images, from where they were taken and see how the Navigation moved from a commercial waterway to a place for leisure.
The walk is about a half a mile long with regular stops, and will finish at the new Boathouse.
