This morning we officially launched Guildford Walkfest 2020 Unlike previous launches, we had to keep the numbers small - but that didn't make it any less special. We were privileged to have Guildford Mayor, Richard Billington to hit the start button in the grounds of The Percy Arms at Chilworth. Also present were representatives of several of our sponsors (Experience Guildford, Guildford Borough Council, C&H Marketing, Vitality Life Insurance / Genesis and Surrey Hills Society). Guildford Tourist Information Centre, who have helped so much with our booking systems, were represented and several of our walk leaders & back-markers came along too.
This was our chance to thank them all for their help and support. As the photo shows, they all seemed to be enjoying themselves - in a socially distanced manner!
But this is only the start. Over the coming month we have a whole host of fascinating and enjoyable walks for you to join. You can learn all sorts of things about Guildford, stretch your legs, enjoy the fresh air and wonderful scenery whilst having the support and security of an experienced festival team to lead the walks.
