Well done to our Walkfest Chairman, Chris Howard, and Pete Lambert who is one of our regular walk leaders around the Guildford area. Yesterday (Tuesday 25th August) they did a brilliant interview spot on BBC Surrey’s Breakfast Show with Mark Carter to promote Walkfest and the joys of walking in and around Guildford.

BBC Surrey has always been very supportive of Walkfest, Surrey Hills Society and all those events and initiatives advertised by organisations such as Visit Surrey. As part of this, Mark Carter now hosts the Surrey Show which will air at 5.30pm on the last Sunday of the month – so this coming weekend.
Mark’s producer has given him the challenge of presenting this month’s programme on location somewhere near Guildford. Pete’s suggestion to him was to head for the area around The Chantries and Pewley Hill. So why not listen to the programme on Sunday and learn more about our wonderful county and all it has to offer.
