Description of walk: Join Guildford Town Centre Chaplaincy leaders and Surrey Hills Society leaders on a sponsored walk along the Greensand Way from Guildford to Witley. A host of ‘Angels’ will be treading the stunning Surrey countryside by following a route along the Downs Link and onto the Greensand Way, as a fund-raiser for the Angels charity.

Surrey Hills Society members, friends and supporters and members of the public are invited to join for all or part of the route. The Lord Lieutenant of Surrey (Michael More-Molyneux) who is Patron of both GTCC and the Surrey Hills will also be joining us. The 13.5 mile route will start in Guildford and stop for a coffee break at the old Bramley Railway station. Some participants may choose to just walk from Guildford to Bramley and enjoy the coffee break but not participate on the second part of the walk. From Bramley we walk onwards to join the Greensand Way, crossing the lovely Wintershall Estate, and then on through Hascombe and Hambledon to finish the day’s walk at Witley station from which you can return to Guildford by train, bus or car.

Please note that you are registering on the understanding that you are fundraising for GTCC Angel projects. Their sponsorship page is HERE

Any specific walk / conditions issues:  This walk is for moderately fit walkers. You should note that the Greensand Way is hilly and has variable unmade surfaces. Consequently, the event is not suitable for young children, those with hip or knee problems or who are unable to maintain a reasonable pace. However, the first section to Bramley is fairly flat and would be suitable for less fit walkers and children

Dogs allowed / not allowed?: Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome
