A 6 mile walk along a variety of paths through the village, woods and a golf course

Time: Arrive 10.00am for 10.15 start. Finish around 1pm

Any travel advice: From Guildford. On A3100, Right on B3000 for 2 miles.

Park cars on adjoining residential road, opposite Withies Inn (GU3 1JA) or in currently disused pub car park at The Harrow (Lemongrass Thai restaurant) (GU3 1EG)

Description of walk: Generally flat walk. From the village green in Compton we will walk through the village, up the hill to the south, over the A3 and then across Puttenham golf course before returning via the North Downs Way and footpaths to our start.

Any specific walk / conditions issues:  This is generally flat, but with 1 steep hill and 1 stile. There is a road crossing by bridge over the A3.

​

Dogs allowed / not allowed?: Well behaved dogs allowed, but need to be on a short lead in sensitive areas

​

Length of Walk: 6 miles
